Outline for this course
Introduction
Within the last 30 years, gender legislation has had a dramatic impact on equality in the work place. The gap between men’s and women’s average hourly pay, for example, fell from 29% in the 1970s to 17.1% in 2005, but statistics show there is clearly still some way to go.
Gender Legislation outlines the new and established regulations in this area. It helps managers and HR professionals gain a good basic understanding of the procedures which employers must follow, in order to comply with the law.
Develop a good understanding of the regulations and reduce the risk of costly legal action and tribunals. Creating a culture of equal opportunity could help a business increase its staff retention and improve workforce morale.
