Outline for this course
Introduction
It is the legal and moral obligation of every employer and manager to ensure that potentially hazardous situations are eliminated, or managed to reduce and control risks. Introduction to Managing Health and Safety explains how to identify and deal with potential hazards and causes of ill health in the work place.
Managers who are knowledgeable and confident about promoting a safe working environment are more likely to implement effective health and safety standards, policies and processes. This will help a business meet its moral and commercial responsibilities, protecting both the organisation and the people who work for it.
Who is the course for?
Introduction to Managing Health and Safety is most suitable for people who are likely to become first-time managers. It is also suitable for those who are already managers but have had little or no formal training and limited work experience. The Introduction to Health and Safety at Work course is more appropriate for non-managerial members of staff.
The easy to follow, step-by-step format of this course means people can work at their own pace. It is appropriate to any business sector, there are no formal entry requirements and employees do not require any prior experience.
